Game Design for Tourism Innovation
（2023）
2023年，柳喆俊老师所开设的“专业设计5”课程联合同济设计四院与Unity中国，以跨学科实践创新为目标，共同探索文旅项目的数字化创新的可能性。在半个学期的时间内，同学们围绕这一主题以小组合作的形式完成了功能性游戏的设计与开发。
In 2023, the Design Studio 5 was taught by Prof. Aaron Leo in collaboration with Tongji Architectural Design Group Co., Ltd. and Unity China. The purpose of this course was to explore the possible application of innovative digital media in Tourism via interdisciplinary practice. In half of the semester, students worked in groups to design and develop three serious games of this topic.
1. 夜郎秘境：酒道传承 · The Tale of Wine

《夜郎秘境：酒道传承》是一款关于茅溪酱酒的严肃游戏。在赤水河上借酒消愁的酿酒师无意落水，进入到传说中与世隔绝的夜郎古国。玩家将控制这位主角跟随傲慢的夜郎国国王探索整个酒厂，需要在国王一定距离范围内活动，并躲开国王和侍卫的视线，取得正确酿酒配方和全部所需原料。通过这款游戏，玩家将更详细、深入了解茅溪酱酒的文化、历史故事和工艺流程。

The Tale of Wine is a serious game about Maoxi Jiang-flavour Chinese spirits. A winemaker drinking on the Chishui river to drown his depression of failure unintentionally fell into the water and entered the legendary isolated ancient kingdom of Yelang. Players will control him to follow the arrogant Yelang King to explore the entire brewery. He has to move within a certain distance of the king and avoid the sight of the king and his guards while obtaining the correct brewing recipe and all the required ingredients. Through this game, players are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the culture, historical story and making process of Maoxi Jiang-flavour Chinese spirits

2. 依兰之歌 · The Song of Yilan

《依兰之歌》讲述了为一位探寻依兰月牙陨石坑之谜的地质学家，在姥姥留给自己的信物的指引下穿越万年的时空，一步步战胜困难、走进线索、解开月牙形陨石坑形成之谜，并最终在博物馆球幕影院举行新闻发布会的故事。这个游戏融合了科学事实、萨满传说、传统文化符号等要素，结合了跑酷、解谜、音游、抗辩等多种玩法与多结局创意交互叙事，带领玩家跨越万年，解开依兰陨石坑的神秘面纱。

The Song of Yilan tells the story of a geologist who explores the mystery of the Yilan meteor crater. He travels across thousands years in time and space under the guidance of a token left to him by his grandma, overcomes various obstacles, finds clues, solves the puzzle of the formation of the crescent-shaped crater, and finally holds a press conference in the crater museum’s dome theater. This game integrates scientific facts, Sa-man mythology, traditional cultural symbols and other elements, combining parkour, puzzle solving, music games, court defenses and other modes of gameplay with a creative interactive narrative with multiple endings, leading players to cross over ten thousand years and unravel the mystery of the Yilan meteor crater.

3. 鄞州行渠 · Water Conservancy in Ancient Ningbo

《鄞州行渠》是以王安石作品《鄞县经游纪》为基础的益智闯关游戏，玩家会扮演王安石参与到历史中鄞县（今宁波）的治理中，在五个关卡中以规划水渠路线的方式兴修水利工程。剧情以王安石治鄞三年为主线索，故事均基于王安石著作中的所行所感编创。游戏结束于王安石离鄞，此后不久他将回到朝廷，以三年治鄞的经验筹备熙宁变法。本游戏将帮助玩家进一步了解王安石在鄞县的这段历史，为宣传推广宁波的历史文化做出贡献。

Water Conservancy in Ancient Ningbo is a puzzle game of multiple levels based on Yin Xian Jing You Ji by Anshi Wang, a famous writer, thinker and polititian in ancient China. The player plays as Anshi Wang during his governance of Yin County (now Ningbo City). Through out the five levels of the game, the player needs to plan the routes of the water channels to reach water conservancy goals. The actions and emotions of Anshi Wang as recorded in his own works is used as the main storyline of the game, which ends as he left Yin County. Shortly after that, he returned to the imperial court with three years of experience of Yin County governance in preparation for the famous XiNing Political Reform. This game helps players to further understand the history of Anshi Wang in Yin County so as to spread and promote the history and culture of Ningbo.
